WHAT IS SOUNDPLATE?
Soundplate is a non-traditional, independent record label and music platform. We embrace change, we respect artists and we are built for the digital age of music consumption.
Our Spotify playlist submission system helps artists reach independent playlist curators for free, playlist promotion can be expensive and confusing, we aim to make it simple and free for artists to connect with influential curators.
We are passionate about helping the independent music community grow and hope you love using our system!
WHY DO I NEED TO CONNECT MY SPOTIFY ACCOUNT TO SUBMIT A TRACK?
Each time you want to submit a track to one of the playlists using our system we are going ask you to follow the curator's account, our Spotify account and the playlist you want your track featured on.
Once you click the submit button and authorise the connection our APP is going to automatically take these actions for you (you are going to follow the listed profile & playlist). Your submission form will be unlocked after that.
You can disconnect your account from the Soundplate app at any time.
We do not store any sensitive personal information like your unique username, profile/channel ID, gender, street address, real name and etc. Display names are not unique and can be easily changed, so we have decided, that this is the only information we would need to keep track of who is submitting music. We never extract and store any location information from your authorised account (like your street address).
We will NEVER extract personal details and will never make you follow any profile or playlist other than the actions which are clearly stated on the submission pages.

What if I already follow the playlist or account?
Each time you want to submit a track to us you will see a list of all the account(s) / playlist you need to follow. If you have already followed some of these our APP will skip them when you authorise the connection and you will still get the form at the end.
Do you extract and store any personal information?
When you submit a track to a playlist, purchase a product or service, fill in a contact form or add a playlist to Soundplate we ask you to provide an email address that we securely store.
We need to store this data so we can:
- Contact you if your track is accepted and added to a playlist.
- Let you know if an artist has submitted a track to a playlist you manage.
- Send you important information about our services and products.
- Contact you about other relevant playlists and related services we offer.
You can unsubscribe and have your personal data removed from our system at any time by replying to any email we send you or by clicking an 'unsubscribe button'. We do not get your e-mail from the connected Spotify profile! You can choose which e-mail address you want to share with us in the submission form.
